The OU Health Sciences Center, located in Oklahoma City, is one of only four comprehensive academic health centers in the nation with seven professional colleges. Located in a 15-block area between the state capital and Oklahoma City's popular Bricktown entertainment district, some 2,800 students are enrolled annually. OU Medical Center, the academic hospital, includes two patient care towers and The Children's Hospital. In all, some 11,000 people are employed at the OU Health Sciences Center.
