Research Interests:
Dr. Vitiello is interested in the molecular influence of environmental toxins, oxidative stress, and antioxidant enzymes on tissue development, homeostasis, and disease pathogenesis. His laboratory uses experimental models of oxidative pathologies including bronchopulmonary dysplasia and Friedreich’s Ataxia to discover and define redox-dependent signaling mechanisms underlying disease pathogenesis.
